The Firm SAVLEY AND COMPANY was started way back in 1930 as a hand-kraft workshop by the then proprietor Vaman K. Savley. Paper sheets were cut by hand in the shape of envelope, - blanks, as per customer's requirements. In the course of time, automatic paper punching, envelope folding and pasting - gumming machines were imported to augment the capacity and thereby to improve upon the quality and uniformity. This trend of modernisation continued, well after the present propreitor Surendra V. Savley, a qualified paper techonolgist, took over in 1970.
Three automatic machines are now in use, each having a production capacity of 60 to 150 envelopes per minute. 'Angel' is the registered trade mark. Rich flap - gumming, broad pasting margin and overall better finish is the speciality of our products.
Besides lever - arch files, box-files and office files are also produced in house, using superior clips and boards.
Prominent educational institutions, printing houses and commercial establishments are among the clients over the decades. The customer remains satisfied till the last unit of the lot gets consumed at this end.
Both end-opening and side opening envelopes can be had off the shelf in sizes, from as small as 2" x 3" to as big as 14" x 18" commercial envelopes, like 6-1/2" z 3-3/4", 7-1/4"x4", 9" x 4", 9-1/2" x 4-1/4", 10-1/4" x 4-5/8", 11" x 5", 9"x6" and even larger sizes are available in window type as well with the superior patch of transparent paper, wrinkle free and firm.
For security mailings, there are reinforced envelopes, having inside lining of polypropylene or canvas cloth.
For closing the envelope, moisutre - sensitive pre-gummed flaps are available from ready stocks. Pressure-sensitive gumming can also be had on demand.
