Dr. Prakash B. Katariya He is awarded by IMA as the first Indian doctor to acquire postgraduate qualification in "Laser Medicine". He is the chief scientist working at his world-reputed clinic. He is pioneer of Laser Medicine in India He has 28 years of clinical experience in medical practice of his own. He is founder director of Indian Institute of Laser Medicine I I L M founded in 1999 to part education to Indian doctors in the field of Laser Medicine. He is member &/or fellow of many International Laser Associations in Japan, USA, Russia etc. He is also a pioneer in Photodynamic therapy (PDT) for cancer and non-cancer areas of medical problems. His research work on " Laser therapy as an non surgical alternate to heart surgery " presented in international conference on laser medicine which was held in June 2001 in St Petersburg, was highly appreciated. He has written more than 70 articles on laser medicine for newspapers, laser bulletins, and magazines and for international laser societies.
In April 2002 he has presented his three research papers/presentations in American Association of Laser Medicine and Surgery at Atlanta in USA. The researches on these three papers will avoid almost all bypass surgeries, and most of the knee replacement surgeries He also found cure for Psoriasis. He is invited as a CHAIRPERSON for 4 th world congress (WALT) in Tokyo on 30 June 2002. There he has his research presentation "94 % CABG heart surgeries can be avoided by laser therapy". He designs special laser equipments for medical use. He has trained many qualified doctors in laser medicine who are practicing in Pune, Jalna, Kolhapur etc.
