Boocha Electric Stores was established in the year 1939 by a gentleman Mr. Frameoze Mirwanji Boocha. The shop was initially an electrical stores selling electrical goods like tubes, wires and related accessories only.
Subsequently my father acquired the electrical contracts license and the business grew with the contract works for house wiring jobs. The shop further flourished in business and became a leading electrical shop on MG Road.
Since the year 1984 the contract works were discontinued and the shop subsequently became all exclusive electrical retail shop.
In an unfortunate accident of fire in April 1997 the entire block of shops were burnt down. The shop was rebuilt and restarted in Aug 1997.
Today it is a leading electrical shop selling all kinds of electric goods and has exclusive collection of chandeliar, wall fittings and variety of other lamps.
We also specialize in different types of lamp shades for table lamps. We undertake manufacture of shades as for the customer requirement specifications.
