B.D. Jokhakar and Co. was founded by late Mr. Bhalchandra D Jokhakar in 1932 at a time when the profession of accountancy and audit was in its infancy in India. The firm's office was initially in the East and East Building and was then shifted to the present premises at 2nd Floor Raja Bahadur Mansion, 8, Ambalal Doshi Marg, Fort Mumbai 400 001, in the prime business district of Mumbai, India.

Mr. H.B. Jokhakar has experience of over thrity-five years. His specialization is in auditing, foriegn investments in India, consultancy on mergers, business acquisitions and corporate tax planning. He served as Hon. Secretary/Treasurer of Bombay Chartered Accountants Society for 10 years, was a past president of BCAS and is a member of taxation committee of Indian Merchant's Chamber.
