The firm was converted into a private limited company viz. Auto Steel and Rubber Industries Pvt Ltd under chapter IX of the Indian Companies Act on November 14,1995.

Through our R&D efforts, we have developed various compounds which find their use in aircraft,automobile, cement, chemical, dairy, electrical, electronic, engineering, food, mining, naval, ordnance, pharmaceutical, power-house, sugar and textile industries.

D.T. Keswani: He has been directing from when it started in 1966. He has travelled widely and today is considered as an authority on a wide variety of engineering elastomers. He has done a stint as a consultant in rubber technology, in Africa.
He is competent enough to guide the users of rubber products in upgrading their technology and to improve the quality of the rubber products for increasing the life of equipments in which these are used.
He has been the president of Pimpri-Chincwad Manufacturers' Association for five years during which period the association was active and successfully took up various difficulties, faced by manufacturers, with government authorities.
Currently he is the chairman of Western Region of All Indian Rubber Industries Association and also on the managing committee of AIRIA at the national level.
Mr. P.K. Khurjekar: He has over 29 years of experience on the engineering side of the activities. He has been handling the development work and is in overall incharge of the factory. He is also the quality management representative.
Mr. A.D. Karmarkar: He has over 24 years experience on the chemical side of the operations. He leads the production team. He also acts as "Assistant Quality Management Representative"
Mr. V.K. Thorat: Mr. Thorat started his career as professor in chemistry.
